Toongabbie Federation Cenotaph turns 25 (2026)

The Grandstand

Wednesday 25th February 2026 marks 25 years since the dedication of the Federation Grandstand.

The Grandstand is a much-loved feature of Toongabbie that stands proudly at the Village Green. The Toongabbie community, along with visitors to the town, use the grandstand for events such as Australia Day celebrations, cricket matches, Christmas market and other community events.

The plaque

To celebrate the centenary of the federation of Australia this grandstand was officially opened by the Hon. Peter McGauran MHR (Minister for the Arts and Centenary of Federation, and Member for Gippsland)
