Cemetery
An important piece of Gippsland's goldrush history
The Toongabbie cemetery, which also serves the area of Cowwarr and Glengarry, is of important historical significance in the context of Gippsland’s goldrush and pioneering history.
Much effort has been made by numerous historical societies to document and research all historic cemeteries so that the origins of each pioneering township and their families can be recognised and celebrated for the role they played in the each regions development.
Further information and photographs can be found on the Australian Cemeteries website.
This cemetery continues to serve our communities.
